Marble Cake Recipe

OSHI MARBLE CAKE


Ingredients:

250gm Butter
250gm Sugar
250gm Baking Flour
5pcs Eggs
1teaspoon Vanilla Essence
30gm Cocoa Powder


Steps:
1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree celcius.
2. Beat butter and sugar until creamy with handmixer / stand mixer at medium speed.
3. Added in egg 1 pc at a time.
4. Fold in flour at low speed until all well blended. Added in vanilla essence. Stir well.
5. Scoop out 1/3 of batter into a bowl, pour the cocoa powder in and fold it with batter. Mix well.

6. Line paper / Butter the baking tin before you pour the vanilla batter into the baking tin. Put in the base with half portion of vanilla batter first, then pour the cocoa batter into it. Finally pour the finishing batter into the tin which consists of the other half portion of batter. Place it into the baking oven and bake for 40min or until well cook.

Black Vinegar Pork Leg Recipe

Black Vinegar Pork Leg by oshicare


Ingredients:
1 bottle Black Vinegar (ready mix)
2cm Old Ginger root
3cm Young Ginger root
1kg Pork Leg (chopped into 2cm a piece)
6 Chicken Eggs (boiled cooked)
5pcs Dried mushroom (halves and soak in water to soften)
20gm Rock sugar / to taste

Steps:
1. Pour black vinegar, ginger roots and mushrooms into slow cooker in Hi cooking. Simmer boil for 1min.
2. Put in clean washed pork leg. Let it boil for 20min in Hi cooking.
3. Put egg into it. Turn the switch to Low cooking for another 30min.
4. Pork should be tender at this point.
5. Added in rock sugar and simmer boil for another 10min. Ready to serve.

Additional tips:
1. It is best consumed during rainy day as black vinegar has hi heat content (after the brewing process).
2. Eat moderately.

Sambal Petai Recipe

Ingredients to blend:
20gm Dried chilli
7-8pcs Shallot
1cm x 3cm x 3cm Belacan granule
some water

3tablespoon Cooking Oil (can be peanut oil, sunflower oil or corn oil)
200gm Fresh Petai (can get from wet market or sometimes hypermart too sell this)
150ml Water
2tsp Sugar or to taste
Pinch of salt

Steps:
1. Heat wok over medium fire, to dry the cooking pan. Then added oil into it. Added in blended ingredients and saute till fragrant. This need about 5-8min of cooking.
2. You may put in the fresh petai and stir fried it for 3min. Add water into it. Once the dish is boiling, consider done. Ready to serve.

Ingredients:

12pcs Plastic bag 1"X 12"
1/4 - 1/2 Watermelon without seeds
5tablespoon White coarse sugar
2 cups Water
2leaves Pandan leaves knotted
1pkt (s) Cincau/Leong Fun (Can get from hypermart) cubed
1pc Lime

Steps:
1. Blend watermelon with blender.
2. Use a crock pot, put water, pandan leaves and sugar in over medium fire. Slowly stir until sugar melted and when able to smell the fragrant smell of pandan leaves. Off the fire. Leave it uncovered to let it cool down.
3. Pour blended watermelon into the crock pot with sugared syrup. Discard pandan leaves. Squeeze the lime juice added into syrup.
4. Pour mixture into the plastic bag until 70% full, knotted it. Freeze in the freezer for half day. Ready to eat.

Kids and adults too love this ice cubed.

Bitter Gourd Pork Soup Recipe

Bitter Gourd Pork Soup

Ingredients:

300gm Lean Pork, sliced

6-8pcs Red Dates, cored

2liter Water

1pc Bitter Gourd, cored & sliced

Pinch of salt.

Preparation:

1. Filled water in slow cooker, boiled it. Add in red dates to boil for 15min.

2. Then add in lean pork to slow boil for 20min.

3. Finally, add in sliced bitter gourd. Slow boil for another 30-40min. Add pinch of salt; to taste. Ready to serve.

Note:

Chinese believes it has cooling remedial for body. Consumed during hot & humid season to cool down body heat.

Stewed Potato Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
1 whole bird Chicken (chopped into medium size pieces for stir friend purpose)
1 small can Green Peas Canned
2 pcs Big Potato cubed
1 pc Onion cubed
2 pcs Garlic (chopped into rice pieces)
2 tablespoon Cooking oil/peanut oil
250ml water
Pinch of salt
2teaspoon Soya Sauce

Steps:
1) Heat the wok and add in oil. Saute the riced garlic until fragrant over medium big fire.
2) Add in potatoes, stir fried for 3min. Add in cubed onion. Stir fried another 1 min.
3) Add in raw chicken pieces and stir fried for 3min. Cover the wok with lid for 5min. Add in 250ml water and pour in canned green peas, cover the lid again for stewing purpose. This process need another 15min of cooking.
4) By this time around, the chicken should be cooked and has fragrant smell of this dish. Add in 1/2 teaspoon of salt & soya sauce to taste. ready to serve.

Note:
You can always substitute whole bird chicken with just chicken breast or chicken drumsticks. Can get from local wet market chicken seller and ask them to chop to desire pieces. That's what i do all the time : P

Pegaga Drink Recipe

Pegaga Sugared Drink
or Asian Pennywort Sugared Drinkby oshicare
(Serve 3 person or small family with 2 adults & 2 kids)

Ingredients:

500gm Fresh Pegaga - available at local wet-market/hypermarket
500ml Drinking water
some ice cubes

200gm Rock Sugar
3leaves Pandan leaves, also called screwpine leaves
300ml Water

Steps:
1 Blend fresh Pegaga with water. Rinsed it. Leave aside.
2 Boil 300ml water with pandan leaves in a pot.
3 Add rock sugar to the boiling water, stir well until sugar dissolved. Leave it to cool. Discard pandan leaves.
4 Pour the Pegaga juice into sugared syrup. Added in ice cubes. Ready to serve.


Note:
Consume moderately.
This is a good cooling remedies if one is heaty; 上火 or after taken more than 1 serving of Penang Char Koay Teow.
